Privacy policy

The short version

Lid & Leather is a content site. We don't require accounts, we don't sell your personal information, and the only data we handle is what's needed to run the site, understand traffic in aggregate, and respond when you contact us.

Information we collect

• Contact form. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you provide, so we can reply. We use it for that purpose and don't add you to any marketing list.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used (pages viewed, general location, device type). This helps us decide what to write next. Google may set cookies to do this; the data is aggregated and not used by us to identify you personally.
• Server logs. Like most sites, our host records standard technical data (IP address, browser type, timestamps) for security and reliability.

Affiliate links and Amazon

This site contains affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure). When you click a link to Amazon or another retailer, that retailer may set its own cookies to attribute the sale and pay our commission. Those cookies and the data they collect are governed by the retailer's own privacy policy — for Amazon, that's the Amazon.com Privacy Notice. We receive aggregate commission and click reports, not your identity or your order details.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies for analytics and, at retailers, for affiliate attribution as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though analytics won't count your visit.

Your choices and rights

You can browse the site without giving us any personal information. If you've contacted us and want your message and email deleted from our inbox, email info@lidandleather.comand we'll remove it. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete personal data we hold; contact us and we'll help.

Children

This site is intended for adults shopping for motorcycle gear and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
